MSI MOA 2010 Indonesian Qualifier: It’s Finally Here!
It almost seems like the middle of 2010 is the right moment for Indonesian overclockers to get down to business and show some teeth. At least two world-class overclocking competitions take place in this period of the year. Last June, after Indonesia’s best overclockers tested their mettle in the Gigabyte Open Overclocking Competition 2010 Indonesia, they will once again be pitted against each other in the MSI Master Overclocking Arena 2010 Indonesian Qualifier!

The History of the MOA
The Master Overclocking Arena is a world-class overclocking competition from MSI, one of the largest computer peripheral manufacturers. This annual event provides an opportunity for the world’s best overclockers to push MSI’s latest cutting-edge hardwares far beyond their default stock speed. Of course, there is also the possibility of setting new overclocking world records along the way.
When it was held for the first time in 2008, 13 teams from 11 countries participated in this event, including Australia, China, France, Greece, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, and Turkey. Each one of the 13 teams was the winner of the qualifier rounds in corresponding regions and countries.
Indonesia, Champion of the 2008 MSI MOA
Indonesian overclockers are quite familiar with MSI’s MOA. Back in 2008 MSI MOA, two overclockers from this country, Alva Jonathan and Ekky, managed to secure the first place on the podium. That historic moment fueled the fighting spirits of Indonesian overclockers, motivating them to further improve their competitive edge in international overclocking championships.
Better Gears for Better Results
The MOA competition proved to be a valuable source of feedback data for MSI. By referring to these inputs, MSI designed their lines of computer peripherals that are specifically aimed towards the overclocker audience. In 2009, MSI’s effort began to bear fruit. Starting from that year, the overall image of MSI’s products shifted from “ordinary” to “enthusiast” peripherals preferred by overclockers all over the world.
MOA 2010 Indonesia Qualifier: A New Challenge
This year, MSI sets another challange for Indonesian overclockers with MOA 2010-Indonesian Qualifier. MSI will be supplying contestants with its latest hardwares, ready for some overclocking action.
Slightly different from the online preliminary round in 2009, this time the qualification stage for Indonesia region will go on LIVE! The preliminary round will take place at Planet Hollywood, Jakarta. This live overclocking competition will be the battleground of 10 of Indonesia’s best overclockers, fighting for the right to earn one ticket to the 2010 MSI MOA grand final in Taipei, August 2010.
