This notebook is able to accommodate most of your peripherals, thanks to its relatively complete array of interface selections. Your super-fast external storage comes with an eSATA or Firewire port? No problem, just look on the left side and you will see those two ports, among a bunch of others.

If at some point you grew bored of your Alienware M11X, feel free to amuse yourself by changing the colors of LED lights installed in some parts of this notebook; from the keyboard, the frame of the touchpad, front panel, the power button, and, of course, that signature alien head symbol on the back of the screen. Using the bundled utility software, you can switch between the eight available colors in any one of those parts independently. It has nothing to do with the performance, but hey, if you got an Alienware on your desk, why not do something to show it off?
