Galaxy GeForce GTX 470 GC version! – Pre-Overclocked, Innovative HSF Design
Test Results
As usual, we brought along another graphics card for comparison purposes. This time, it’s a GeForce GTX 480. Let’s see the results shall we?
Alien VS Predator
Setting : 1920×1080; DirectX 11; Texture Quality – Very High; Shadow Quality – High; SSAO – On; AF x16; No-MSAA
Alien VS Predator is one of the most recent shooter titles that offers support for DirectX 11 features. We decided to include it as one of our benchmarks, starting from this article. In this game, while lagging behind the GeForce GTX 480, Galaxy GeForce GTX 470 GC version! still scored a respectable 45, 9 FPS.
CRYSIS
Setting : 1920×1080; DirectX 10; Quality Preset – High; No-AA
Years ago, even people with the best graphics cards had a hard time trying to run this particular game with acceptable frame rates. The Galaxy GeForce GTX 470 GC version!, however, handled it well enough today. In DirectX 10 mode, the frame rate is close to 60 FPS.
LEFT4DEAD
Setting : 1920×1080; No-AA; AF-Trilinear; Maximum Quality
Galaxy GeForce GTX 470 GC version! churns out hundreds of FPS in Left 4 Dead. Like many other modern graphics card, it has no problem rendering dozens after dozens of zombies in this game. There’s still a marginal performance difference that sets it apart from the GTX 480 though.
Metro 2033
Setting : DirectX 11; Advance DOF, No-Advance PhysX, MSAA x4, AF x16
We’re still far away from playing Metro 2033 comfortably by using just a single GPU graphics card. Even the Galaxy GeForce GTX 470 GC version! would be hard pressed to produce acceptable frame rates. Opt for multi-GPU configuration if you have the money to spend.
