MSI GX660R: High-End Mobile Gaming with DirectX 11 Support
Test Results
Performance

MSI GX660R performed exceptionally well in Sysmark 2007, thanks to its Core i7 740M processor. You can run just about any application on this notebook and still have enough resource to multi-task between programs. Turbo mode yielded a small gain in performance, but it’s best to leave the processor at default speed unless you don’t mind the fan getting noisier.
Battery Life

According to our MobileMark 2007 test, the MSI GX660R has a remarkable battery life, especially considering the speed and quality of components incorporated in this notebook. The 7800 mAh, 11.1V battery stores enough electricity to sustain the GX660R for 2,5 hours. Actually, the notebook itself was obviously not designed with pure mobility in mind. It’s too large and too heavy to carry around comfortably. It’s best to just put it on a desk and play some games.
Video Transcoding

The fast processor and rapid RAID-0 storage speed up video transcoding processes. We saw no significant improvement with turbo enabled though.
