MSI FX400: Excellent Value in One Great Package

MSI FX400 yielded good scores in both 3DMark 2006 and 3DMark Vantage, but we won’t stop on these synthetic benchmarks. Below is the test results obtained in some real-world games.

Left4Dead

The GeForce GT325M graphics turned out to be powerful enough to run Left4Dead with satisfactory frame rate of well above 30 FPS. That result was obtained using the screen’s native resolution of 1360×768 and the graphics detail set to “high”

Resident Evil 5

In Resident Evil 5, the story gets a little different. Under “high” graphics settings, 1360×768, the FPS is dangerously close to the 30 FPS mark. Simply lowering the graphics setting down a notch to “medium” while keeping the resolution unchanged would raise the FPS count to over 40 FPS in both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 modes.
