MSI N580GTX M2D15D5 Review– A Reference Card with Some Interesting Extras

Looks familiar? Like a reference-based GTX 580 is supposed to be, everything on the MSI N580GTX M2D15D5 appears identical to… well, NVIDIA’s reference GTX 580 card. The only difference is perhaps the sticker attached to the cooler’s body, which obviously bears MSI’s own design.

Being a reference-based card, the MSI N580GTX M2D15D5 also shares GTX 580’s vapor chamber HSF, which is quite effective in suppressing the heat from the GPU. We recorded a maximum temperature of 73 degree Celsius at full load (fan speed was at 55%) and 39 degree Celsius when idle, with the fan reverting back to 40%.
