Review MSI N580GTX Lightning: Pushing the Fastest to the Limit

TwinFrozr III HSF, Temperature Test

We measured the temperature using the MSI Afterburner software. Several runs of the Unigine Heaven 2.1 benchmark were executed to give serious load to the graphics card. Here are the temperature readings.
Full-load : 62 °C (fan speed 47%-1769 rpm)

Idle : 35 °C (fan speed 30%-1149 rpm)

As with the R6970 Lighting, the TwinFrozr III proves to be very effective in suppressing heat from the GeForce GTX 580 GPU.

Using the provided V-Check Point cables, you can connect your multiplier to this graphics card to read the GPU, memory, and PLL (Aux) voltages.

The N580GTX Lightning draws power from a pair of PCIe 8-pin power connectors. Power is supplied o the GPU and memory chips through dedicated power lines.
