Welcome back to Jagat Review’s Hot Product of the Month Award! As usual, we have picked a selection of computer hardware that excels above others of their kind in terms of innovation, functionality, or performance. Only few made it into the list this time, but since they all come from different categories, the champions remain unique in their own ways. So, what are the hottest products of September? Here they are!
Intel Pentium G
Intel wasn’t standing idly by when AMD’s “Llano” series of APU attempted to grab some portions of the entry-level processor market. Indeed, Pentium G is Intel’s answer for budget conscious users looking to build a basic system without too much compromise on performance. The wonder of this processor lies in its affordability: you can get one for less than 65 US Dollars! It means that, with the Pentium G, you will be able to spend only around US$ 250 for a complete PC.
Make no mistake though, despite its obvious low-end positioning, the Pentium G performs remarkably well in today’s applications. It only lags slightly behind the Core i3-2100, Intel’s lowest-priced “Sandy Bridge” CPU model.
SSD OCZ Vertex 3
OCZ was quick to arm their top-of-the-line SSD with the latest version of SandForce’s famed controller. Vertex 3 thus become one of the first SF-2000 powered SSDs that shipped into the market. To help maximize performance, Vertex 3 utilizes the SATA 6 Gbps (SATA-III) interface that provides twice the bandwidth of previous-generation SATA 3 Gbps. The result? A blazing fast SSD that rips through our benchmarks with astonishing speed! In some scenarios, Vertex 3’s reads and writes at more than 500 MB per second; almost two times as fast as the best performing SATA-II SSD we’ve tested so far. With that kind of transfer rate, OS and application loading times are drastically reduced, vastly improving computer performance like never been seen before.
Huntkey Universal Notebook Adaptor
If you’ve ever needed to carry more than two notebook adapters at a time, you will surely appreciate the sheer convenience offered by Huntkey’s Universal Notebook Adapter. The brand may still be foreign to your ears, but the product is definitely worthy of recognition.
As the name suggests, Huntkey’s 65-watt Universal Netbook Adaptor can be used to power up most notebooks from a number of different brands in today’s market. Its adaptor plug is interchangeable, allowing for easy switch from one notebook to the other. It’s also sleek and lightweight, unlike some adaptors that could feel like a brick inside your bag. As such, this universal adaptor is also useful as a replacement for your standard power adaptor.
Monitor BENQ 3D XL2410T
This monitor is truly a gamer’s delight. BENQ’s 24-inch 3D XL2410T has full-HD (1920×1080) resolution and LED backlight for crisp and vivid pictures. Add a special set of glasses, and you will be ready to enjoy 3D movies and games! Action gamers will be pleased with its 2 ms, ghosting-free response time, while Senseye 3 technology cleverly adjust contrast up to 10.000.000: 1 in appropriate scenes for maximum viewing experience.
Not only that, when you’re ready to resume work, BENQ 3D XL2410T is an equally agreeable companion as it is in games. You can turn the screen 90 degrees to portrait orientation for better view when working with long documents or spreadsheets. Additionally, you can reduce the display size to simulate viewing areas from 17, 19, or 22 inch monitors. This could come in handy when you need to increase awareness towards your game surroundings (it’s easier for your eyes to cover a smaller display area).
Those are the winners of JagatReview’s Hot Products of the Month Award for this period. You will see even more enticing products next month. Stay tuned to JagatReview.com for more updates!
