Prosesor ini membutuhkan soket dan chipset yang berbeda dari Ryzen “biasa”, yaitu soket TR4 dan chipset AMD X399. Salah satu produk pendukung Ryzen Threadripper dari ASRock, X399 Taichi, beberapa waktu lalu hadir di lab. pengujian kami!

Seperti layaknya motherboard dari lini “Taichi” yang lain, ASRock menawarkan skema warna gelap – terang di motherboard ini, dengan kombinasi warna hitam dan abu-abu muda. Beberapa corak “gear” juga muncul di PCB motherboard ini, seperti yang juga kami temui di beberapa motherboard X399 Taichi lain.
