Kami di JagatReview.com punya sedikit ketertarikan khusus kepada motherboard MiniITX. Dengan segala keterbatasannya, sebuah sistem mengusung form factor ini memiliki daya tarik tersendiri. Bayangkan sebuah PC gaming yang cukup bertenaga dan cukup portabel untuk dibawa ke LanParty! Atau merakit sebuah sistem yang cukup mungil agar dapat digunakan sebagai HTPC. Banyak kemungkinan terbuka karena ukurannya yang mini. Performa motherboard berukuran mini seimbang dengan form factor yang lebih besar membuat ukuran mungil ini banyak di adopsi pengguna. Tidak heran jika produsen motherboard selalu menghadirkan form factor Mini-ITX dalam setiap lini baru yang hadir.

Kali ini kami kedatangan salah satu dari dua wakil ASUS dari kategori motherboard Z170 Mini-ITX. Z170I Pro Gaming adalah motherboard tersebut. Memang sedikit kalah pamor dari kakaknya Maximus VIII Impact, wakil dari seri Pro Gaming mencoba menyajikan alternatif pilihan dalam rentang harga yang lebih ekonomis. Walau tidak berada dalam seri yang sama (Maximus VIII Impact berada dalam seri ROG), banyak fitur ROG yang juga hadir dalam board ini. Lalu seperti apakah motherboard yang disebut sebagai saudara dari Maximus VIII Impact? Mari kita intip bersama!

Intel Chipset Z170 Block Diagram

Intel Z170 adalah chipset unggulan untuk platform PC desktop kelas mainstream terbaru Intel. Motherboard dengan chipset tersebut mendukung prosesor Intel generasi keenam, Skylake, mulai dari prosesor Intel Skylake seri Pentium, Core i3, Core i5, hingga seri unggulannya, Core i7. Chipset ini juga mengalami sejumlah perkembangan dari segi fitur.
