Java Rockin’land-Day 3 Revisited: A Fantastic, Rockin’ Closure!
Just before 23.00 hours, the Gudang Garam InterMusic main stage was crowded by a mass of eccentric-looking fellows: long-haired men dressed in bikers vests and boots. These men, who are mostly 30 to 50 years of age, were there for the festival’s main guest star that night, Stryper. The band, known for their black-and-yellow striped attributes, was very famous back in the 80s. Now, more than 20 years later, would people still line up to see them live on stage? Apparently, the answer to that is a big YES.

No longer dressed in their signature, striped outfits, the Stryper’s personnel may look like they’ve grown old, but they remain as energetic as ever! These men put up a stunning display of live music concert that rivals or even surpasses those demonstrated by more recent bands! From my own personal point of view, they were many times cooler than any other band that also performed that night. The Stryper has all the requirements of a great rock band: long hairs, characteristic vocals, attractive stage performance, and above-average music skills. During that one-hour show, the band delivered their classic hits such as “Reach Out”, “Against The Law”, “Honesty”, “Loud and Clear”, and “Calling on You”. Michael Sweet, OZ Fox, Robert Sweet, and Tim Gaines have finally answered their fans’ calling in Indonesia.
Once again, the Java Rockin’ Land music festival reaped massive success. Hopefully, Java Festival Production would bring even more world-famous rock bands to Indonesia next year. We’re really looking forward to it!
